THE SHAMBLES
The Shambles is a historic street in York, famous for its charming preserved medieval buildings, some dating back as far as the 14th century and inspiring many fictional stories and settings. The street was originally home to butcher shops, but today serves as home for a selection of unique shops, cafes and boutiques.
CLIFFORD'S TOWER
York Castle is a fortified complex in the city. It consists of a sequence of castles, prisons, law courts and other buildings, which were built over the last nine centuries on the south side of the River Foss. The now ruined keep of the medieval Norman castle is commonly referred to as Clifford's Tower.


YORK MINSTER
York minster is one of the largest and most magnificent Gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe. Renowned for its stunning architecture, beautiful stained glass windows, and towering spires, the York Minster remains to this day an active centre of worship and a popular historic tourist attraction, drawing in visitors from all over the world.
